Happy Birthday to Me

Today is my 25th birthday! I started the tradition last year to have an ice cream cake for my birthday. After buying one last year, and paying an arm and a leg for a cake the size of a postage stamp, we decided to make our own. I told Travis what I wanted and he got right to it.
In case anyone wants to know-he started out by baking brownies. Once they finished baking he covered them with very soft mint chocolate ice cream and topped that with crushed oreos. He then put it in the freezer overnight to harden. It was the best cake (if you can even call it a cake) I have had!! I will definitely be having this every year!
I also received these delicious cupcakes from Kara! Don't they look right off a cover of a food magazine with the perfectly placed sprinkles? A girl can never have too many sweets, I always say! Thanks again Kara.

And thank you to everyone who sent me 'happy birthday' wishes. I really appreciate it! It really makes getting older a little easier when you know you are loved.

Happy Birthday Travis!

Today is Travis' 28th birthday. We celebrated by going out to dinner and I made, completely from scratch, a German Chocolate cake (his fav). I don't know if I'll ever go back to the box version of G.C.C. Thanks Trisha Yearwood for the recipe. Happy birthday! I love you!

Happy Birthday

Today is Trav's 27th birthday. He's not one to draw much attention to himself so it was a very quiet birthday as usual. I made him his favorite cake, German Chocolate, went to Red Robin for dinner (thanks to my family for supplying the gift cards), and rounded up the night by opening presents.

Travis always get the Banzai Burger. ALWAYS!

Travis after the waiters embarrassed him with "Happy Happy Birthday." At least the reward was a Sundae on the house.

Unfortunately, I wasn't videotaping because you should have seen Travis' face when he looked a little closer and realized this wasn't the real BYU football DVD. It hadn't arrived yet in the mail and I thought pretending would be so much better than writing it in a card or telling him. I was right!
