Happy Birthday

Today is Trav's 27th birthday. He's not one to draw much attention to himself so it was a very quiet birthday as usual. I made him his favorite cake, German Chocolate, went to Red Robin for dinner (thanks to my family for supplying the gift cards), and rounded up the night by opening presents.

Travis and some friends decided to drive to North Carolina to watch the Cougs play Wake Forest Tuesday night. They had a lot of fun on their guys night out, but BYU lost. Oh well, better luck next time.

They stopped at a recommended BBQ joint for dinner since North Cakilak is known for its BBQ. Everyone loved it.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year

I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday. We spent our's in Northern Virginia with Travis' family, which is a first for me. I've never spent Christmas without my family. We had a long break spending 2 1/2 weeks with his family. Everyone in Travis' family was there meaning cramped sleeping quarters. So cramped that Katy (Trav's little sis) had to sleep in their parents walk-in closet on the floor. Luckily she likes it when she has to sleep there. We had a great time and are sad to have to get back to work and school!

Unfortunately most everyone either caught pink eye or got a nasty cold. Elizabeth got both so she wasn't herself and very tired.

Ben has family 15 minutes away so they stopped by to watch the BYU Las Vegas Bowl game with us. Ryan and Cheryl just made the trip up to see them for the night.
