Harrison Family Beach Trip
It's also a tradition that every couple/kid come up with an activity/game to do during the week. Past activities have been a Survivor challenge, Set tournament, Family Feud, Wackee 6, and volleyball. This year one activity was Jelly Belly taste testing. We had to close our eyes until we put the Jelly Belly in our mouth and then try to guess the flavor. We had a total of 10. I only got 2 out of the 10 right, but Travis won getting 6 right. Let me just say that it's a lot harder than it seems!
Another game we played was a card game of chance and candy was the prize! Mmmm. I lucked out by winning two of my favorite candies, Reese's and Snickers! Travis didn't win anything this time!
So we had a problem with losing kids this trip. Harrison slid down into a hole that he couldn't get out of and Elizabeth was dropped into a cannon! Ok, so we put Elizabeth into the cannon because we thought it would make a cute picture (weren't we right?). Harrison actually did slide down into a hole that somebody had dug and he couldn't get out of it. He kept calling for Andrew, but Andrew thought he just wanted him to go over and play so never got up to see what he wanted. Finally, though they realized that he was stuck and helped him out.
Another family tradition is to have pizza every Friday night for dinner. Since we've been going to Virginia Beach we've been going to this hole in the wall pizza joint called Chicho's Pizza. We just happened to stumble upon it the first year and we've been going back every since! Unfortunately, Harrison fell asleep on the way there and stayed asleep the whole time on one of the benches so he missed out. The rest of us scarfed down as much pizza as we possibly could!
