Airbender, Oh How I Love Thee

Katy and I went to McDonald's a while ago and she got a Happy Meal.  It came with an Airbender action figure.  When I was cleaning up after our lunch I almost threw it away, then I thought about how we have like zero toys for kids so I decided to keep it.  Maybe our nieces would play with it.  I gave it to Beau in a moment of desperation to keep him occupied while I fixed his lunch and it was love at first sight.

He loves playing with it.  It may not have any bells or whistles like his other toys, but it keeps him entertained in his high chair when I need to get something done.  Whatever works.

Free Chicken

I'm not one to pass up a free meal so when I found out there is a Chick-Fil-A close by I put 'dress like a cow' on my calendar for July 9th.  Back in Charlottesville there were two Chick-Fil-A's, one in the mall and a free standing one.  Travis and I dressed like a cow and got a free lunch, then later that day went to the other one and received a free dinner!  Mmmm.

This year I dressed up with his younger sister, Katy, and we only went for lunch.  The place was hoppin with cows so we luckily didn't feel out of place.

Accidental picture of the food while I was trying to take a picture of something else.  I thought it looked good though.

I looked over to check on Beau and this is what he looked like.  He is such a good boy when we go out.
Can't wait until next year!

6 months

Already?!  Beau has been up to so much these last couple of months.  It seems like he has learned to do something new everyday.  He grabs anything and everything that's close to his reach and puts it in his mouth.  He has learned to roll over on his tummy.  He pushes up so he can peak over the bumper in his crib to see me walk in his room.  He always greets me with a smile when I go in to get him in the morning or after a nap.  He can somehow find his pacifer in the middle of the night and put it back in his mouth.  He loves Sweet Potatoes and he usually likes Peas and Bananas.

At his check up we got his stats.  He weighs 18 lbs (72%) and is 28 inches long (92%)!  He grew 2 lbs and 2 inches since his 4 month check up.

His newest trick is holding the plank postion and getting up on his knees.  It's looking like any day now he will start crawling and change my life forever.  He already inches backwards, sideways and pivots in a circle.

Beau melts my heart everyday and we are so blessed to have him as part of our family.

Pool Time

We introduced Beau to the pool.  We started off in the kiddie pool and then moved up to the big pool.

Verdict:  I think he liked it!
