Expanding
We are growing by another two feet!! We are really excited! Beau loves babies and I can't wait to see him interact with a little brother or sister.
It's been another trying time to get pregnant. I had another miscarriage before getting pregnant again. I hope this isn't a trend. But to look on the bright side, if there is a bright side, I don't know I'm pregnant for very long. Two to three days of knowing we are pregnant before I miscarry. It would be a lot harder if I was any farther along.
I took a pregnancy test when I thought I was a couple days late and waited the appropriate time to see if there was a positive line. There wasn't and Travis and I were disappointed. Travis threw it in the trash and I had a full day ahead of me so I got busy. When I was back in bathroom later that day, for some reason I wanted to pull the test out of the trash and see if anything had changed. I usually leave my tests out on the counter to look at them throughout the day. I know, I'm weird. So I got it out of the trash and THERE WAS A LINE!!! It was faint and I know it says that a test is void after 10 minutes, but I knew it wasn't a water mark-that it was a legit line. I waited another couple of days and splurged on a digital test since those are a lot easier to read. And right away it said, PREGNANT! We were thrilled and kept our fingers crossed that this one was a keeper.
My morning sickness has been different this time around. When I was pregnant with Beau, I couldn't get out of bed without needing something to eat. Travis would have to make me a piece of toast before he left for work. I don't feel as sick in the mornings this go around. Which is a blessing when I have to get up and get Beau started with breakfast before I find time to get me something. When it really hit me this time was around lunch time and 3-4 in the afternoon. I would get so hungry and sick! Nothing sounded good and I couldn't force myself to make anything. Beau and I did a lot of driving to the closest drive-thru for me to survive! One afternoon we even drove to Cafe Rio, which is 20 minutes away, to get a pork burrito. I ate the WHOLE thing!! And then I felt sick, but it was so yummy while I was eating it.
I'm already starting to feel better which is a lot sooner than before! And I think I would have been feeling better even sooner if I hadn't gotten a cold. That totally took a lot out me, but I'm over it (except for a stupid cough) and starting to feel motivation creep back in. Hopefully, it's smooth sailing the rest of the way!

Boat, Duck, Airplane
We took a boat tour of the Potomic River through DC. Beau almost couldn't contain himself, he was so excited to be on a boat. Not to mention there were ducks and airplanes flying right over our heads. He was in heaven! Well, almost. He probably would have liked it more if we would let him jump off the boat and get in the water to play with the ducks.
He loved looking over the edge at the ducks, the water, and the bubbles. He loved seeing other boats and kayakers.
He was such a good boy!
On our way back to the car, we tried to attempt a family photo with my phone. We didn't get any winners.
A must do if you are in the area!

Cox Farms
We took a family trip to a popular fall event. Cox Farm's Fall Festival was a blast! They have tons of animals, slides, playgrounds, a hay ride, a corn maze and a pumpkin patch.
Despite Beau's face, he loved the different slides!
Unfortunately, this slide was a dud. For some reason Beau and I got stuck about half way down. So I had to man-power us down. Beau actually thought it was hilarious and couldn't stop laughing. It took us like 5 minutes to make it to the bottom.
They had the biggest pig there that I have ever seen! She was pregnant and over due. A couple times she kind of squatted and Travis and I thought we might see her give birth, but nothing happened.
One of our favorite slides was the biggest and we rode it multiple times. Beau always went with Travis because he would go the fastest and sometimes they even caught some air on the bumps. When we would reach the bottom, Beau would yell, AGAIN!
Of course we couldn't go to a farm without having to find the cows! They had two babies and Beau loved them.
We also saw a milking demonstration. Beau sat there the whole time and enjoyed it.
We went on the hay ride and it was pretty fun. They had some aliens come out and one gave Travis a high five.
The hay ride relaxed Beau quite a bit and he almost fell asleep, but he got up just in time to see the horse that came to say hi.
We had so much fun and look forward to going again next year!

Happy Halloween
I decided a couple months ago that I wanted to dress Beau up as a cow. Since that is his favorite animal and he thinks most animals say 'moo', I thought he would love it. I was right! I found a pattern for a cow beanie and asked my mom to make it. It turned out really cute! When we first received the hat in the mail, Beau would not keep it on his head. We were a little worried, but once we got him dressed up in his outfit with the hat, he surprisingly kept it on most of the time. He was so happy to be a cow and was all moo's!
We had our ward's Trunk-or-Treat on Saturday. It was moved inside because we had a major drop in temperature and SNOW!! We had chili dogs and homemade root beer. Travis kept going over to the root beer table to get refills and Beau kept running back and forth from where I was eating, to where Travis was getting root beer. He had an extra hop in his step as his bell kept ringing. We thought he was running back and forth on purpose because he liked hearing the bell.
There was a hay pile full of little prizes. Once Travis took him over there, he didn't want to leave. He enjoyed digging through the hay and finding the prizes. We didn't even take him around trick-or-treating because he was enjoying the hay so much.
On Halloween we went to a house that displays hundreds of carved pumpkins. We went last year and enjoyed it and we loved it again this year. We'll probably make it a Halloween tradition.
We then took Beau to Grandma and Grandpa's house to do his first trick-or-treat. He enjoyed it! Especially the candy! He didn't eat any, but he loved having the candy in his bag. We only took him to a couple houses and then it was off to bed.
The next morning he grabbed a few Hershey Kisses from the candy bowl and held onto them while he had breakfast. When I finally was able to pry them from his hands they were pretty soft and mushy. He loves holding onto the candy instead of eating it. Which is fine with me!
Hope everyone had a happy Halloween!
