The last day we were there, I saw this awesome Little Tikes slide for $6! Can't beat that. As soon as Beau saw it he wanted to get out of the cart and play with it. I kept him in as best I could so I could carry it and push the cart to the check out-it didn't fit in the cart. As we were waiting in line, I tried setting the slide down, because it was a little awkward to carry. When Beau saw me set it down he started whining and trying to get out of the cart. I think he thought I was going to leave it. As soon as I picked it back up he got all happy again and sat back down. So I awkwardly held it so Beau wouldn't get his diaper in a bunch.
We checked out and again he started freaking out when I put it into the trunk of the car. I had to keep explaining to him that we had to get it home first and disinfect it before we could play with it. We brought it home and he has been playing with it nonstop.
It sits in our living room and he sends car after car down the slide.
Actually, it doesn't matter what it is. If it fits, and even if it doesn't, it goes down the slide. Puzzle pieces, puzzles, balls, my big blue exercise ball, shoes, bottles, flashlights, basically anything he can get his hands on.
Elmo didn't even stand a chance.
While I was taking these pictures, instead of making myself useful by helping him pick up cars, he decided to put them all in their container. If he collected them all at once and emptied the container at the top of the slide, they would go down all at once instead of one by one. And of course that is more fun!
"Ok, momma, I want to see if that looked cool!"
I'd have to say that cars get the most use down the slide. But every once in awhile he'll go down too. And I guess he was taking his little farmer for a ride as well.
He has been playing with that slide so much that he never even noticed that it rained for 3 days straight and that we never went outside. Thank you slide! Thanks for letting us survive all that rain! You were worth that 6 dollars.

I LOVE LOVE toys like that! I love the goodwill too! The one in Sacramento was awesome. I miss finding great toys for cheap! I need a SLIDE! I would sometimes just go to IKEA all day long on rainy days since they have that slide and kid play area! I love how Beau thought you were going to leave it when you set it down. That is so what Rhead would do!! He is so cute!!! What a FUN slide. Thanks for sharing! Love to read your blog and see that cute boy!!!
I'm a big fan of thrift store and consignment store toys. Glad he's having so much fun with it. I hope the fun doesn't end.
